Australia Day is just around the corner, and it is that time of year when we celebrate and recognise the incredible contributions of our community members in the Junee Shire. The Australia Day Awards are a fantastic opportunity to show appreciation for those who have significantly impacted our community.
The award categories for this year’s event aim to shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements that have enhanced the well-being of our community. Nominees might be individuals who have dedicated their time and effort to volunteer organisations or sporting groups or may have made a noteworthy contribution in other areas. Whether through tireless volunteer work, exceptional performance in sports, or significant contributions in various fields, these awards are here to recognise those who have gone beyond for the advancement of our community.
The award categories for this year’s Australia Day celebrations in Junee Shire include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Team of the Year, Sports Award, and Arts and Community Award.
How to Nominate:
To nominate someone for any of the above awards, please complete the nomination form available at the Junee Shire Council office, Junee Library, Recreation Centre or on the Junee Shire Council website. The nomination form requires you to provide the nominee’s details, a summary of their achievements and contributions, and a supporting statement. You can also attach supporting documents or references to strengthen your nomination.
The nomination deadline is 4:00 pm Friday, 8 December 2023.
