Zac Brain will be heading up the Bombers this year.
The Marrar Bombers are having a trial game this Saturday 22nd March at Burrumbuttock Recreation Reserve against Burrumbuttock. The U17’s will play at 11:00am and Seniors/Reserves at 12:30pm.
Netballers will also play with the following times: U17s- 11:30am, court 2. C/Bgrade – 11:30am, court 1 A/A Res – 12:30am, court1.
Season Launch will be after the games at the Sporties from 6:30pm. This is the club’s first social event of the year. Fresh coach for the 2025 season, Zac Brain said the Club is excited to start the 2025 season.
“It’s a good buzz around the club. We’ve got good numbers at training, plenty of locals on the track. It’s good, everyone is raring to go. It’s been a good preseason and we don’t kick off until round two on April 6th which gives everyone that bit longer of a break,” he said.

“We will play Northern Jets. We are making training as enjoyable as possible and getting the most out of the kids coming through and we will see where we are at when we face them.”
Brain is taking over from Callum Gardner. He was meant to coach another club in 2019 and unfortunately Covid pulled that up and he has been an assistant coach ever since.
Now Marrar will witness his coaching as the season approaches.

“Marrar is a great club. Any issues I’ve had this far they do everything they can to help out, so it’s been a good start. We have a trial game on launch day and it’s just to have a bit of a run and see how everything is going. I’m very process driven, so I try and get the structure in place and the earlier you can get everyone together and start to gel in a game situation the better.
“We have already had one practice match and this will be our second and we are looking to run a few of the young kids through and hopefully get the boys gelling sooner rather than later.”
Support the Bombers as they make their landing for another ripper season.
