Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club (JEMC) have finished calculating the results of June’s Members Survey, looking to implement the changes ASAP.
JEMC wants to give a big thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the member survey. The Club said some suggestions are already being actioned, and others will be implemented over time.
The Club said, “We truly appreciate your input—it helps us make the club better for everyone.
“Keep an eye out for updates as we roll out a few of the changes you asked for.”
The Club said sixty-three members provided their membership number. There were 79 online submissions and 79 paper submissions. The majority of the responses came from people over the age of 55 and have been members for 5 or more years.
For anyone looking to get in contact with the Club – Office hours are: Monday by appointment only Tuesday to Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm
If the office is closed or the door is locked, see the bar staff to have someone help you. The Manager, Rebecca, is available: Monday and Friday 10:00am – 3:00pm; Tuesday to Thursday 10:00 am-4:00 pm.

The Club said, “We are looking into additional products on tap and a wider variety of 750mLwines. Rebecca is also assessing the take-away alcohol prices, and they will be adjusted accordingly.
“The majority of people did not attend the Thursday Night Badge Draw. The next majority are satisfied. We will have a look at the current process and prizes for the Badge Draw and come up with something a bit more exciting. In relation to the 4-minute waiting time to claim a prize, this is a rule that is in the terms and conditions, but we will have a look at modifying the time. We will look at the possibility of introducing some nibble platters or wine and cheese offerings.”
About having 2 board members present for the draw –this is something that has just happened in previous years. There are no rules or regulations that say there have to be 2 or more people to conduct the draw. If you haven’t noticed already, the drawing table has been moved to be more in the lounge area rather than around the corner.
“The majority of people don’t attend the Friday Night Treasure Trove.The next majority are satisfied. The current change of the Treasure Trove will run as is for the next couple of weeks. We will then decide whether it stays as is or needs to change. We will look into the possibility of having actual prizes instead of all vouchers. We will consider making it Happy Hour through the draw and also look at the products available at Happy Hour prices.
“The draw conductors will endeavour to do the free ticket draw at the same time every Friday night.”
The survey also asked questions regarding the new Harvesters restaurant that replaced Danny’s Kitchen last year.
“The majority of people are not satisfied with Harvesters. The next majority are somewhat satisfied. You may or may not be aware, but we have put out Expressions of Interest for external caterers to take over the kitchen. This has been well received so far. We will update everyone when a decision has been made after 8th August.
“In the meantime, there have been some minor changes to the current menu – we hope you like them.We will take on board the suggestions of specialty nights, breakfast/brunch on the weekend and other suggestions that were made. The majority of people attend entertainment occasionally. The next majority attend sometimes/rarely. We are in the process of auditing what entertainment we have booked and what we can offer. We are trialling Midday Melodies on Thursday,14th August at 11:00 am.
“We also have Terry Lennard playing on Sunday, 28th September at 3:00 pm.
“We will look into more child/family-friendly events to get families back into the club and also things for the younger population.
“We will be looking at hostingTrivia, Karaoke, Music Bingo, Movie Nights, Balls, Bingo at night, Live Shows, Comedians, Psychics and more.”
