When the curtain rises on The Wizard of Oz at Civic Theatre Wagga this October, audiences will be treated to a spectacular production brought to life by a talented cast and creative team. Among them is local Junee dancer and choreographer Veronika, whose passion, experience and lifelong dedication to dance have helped shape the magic that will unfold on stage.
Born in Slovakia, Veronika began dancing at just four years of age. What started as a childhood passion quickly grew into an impressive competitive career, representing her country at Slovakian, European and World Dance Championships. These experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to excellence in the performing arts.
Veronika went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Dance and Performance, further developing her technical skills, artistic vision and love of storytelling through movement.
For more than 15 years, Veronika has been teaching dance professionally, inspiring students of all ages to discover confidence, creativity and a love of performance.
Beyond the dance studio, Veronika has built an impressive career across the entertainment industry, with experience in feature films, commercials and musical theatre productions. Her diverse background allows her to bring a unique perspective to every production she is involved in.
This year, Veronika is excited to take on the role of Choreographer for Civic Theatre Wagga’s production of The Wizard of Oz, running from 8–18 October 2026. Audiences can look forward to vibrant choreography that captures the wonder, adventure and timeless charm of the beloved classic.
As rehearsals continue, Veronika is thrilled to work alongside the talented cast and creative team to bring the Land of Oz to life. With decades of experience, international achievements and a passion for sharing the joy of dance, she continues to inspire performers both on and off the stage.
