Junee IGA’s Nina Seton and Kim Murdoch.
Last Friday night, Junee IGA was once again the winner of the Best Dairy and Freezer award at the 2025 IGA NSW/ACT Awards of Excellence in Darling Harbour. It is a testament to the hard work of staff at the Junee IGA and the quality of service within it.
Nita Seton and Kim Murdoch are the driving ladies behind the award-winning department and will represent the state later this year.

The Junee Independent spoke to Shane Willis of Junee IGA in which he said he was very proud of the team.
“The two ladies have won it two years in a row. We were nominated for six different awards over the night,” he said. “We were lucky to secure the Medium Dairies and Freezers award for the second time.
“It’s my gratitude to the whole team, it’s not just that department, it’s the whole store itself and we are very proud.

When asked what were some of the things that they do that won them this award, Mr Willis said “a lot of it is just their presentation and their work ethics that they put in and the products that they arrange for our customers. They know their customer base and that’s what they cater for.”
The event itself was held on Friday at a different location this year, it was at the W in Darling Harbour. It’s a very professional and well organised event.
Shane said that it is great to be able to give back to the community the same effort and passion the community put into the store.

“We are all passionate about what we do and we are there for the customers at the end of the day. That’s who we cater for and that’s who we target and why we try to deliver the best standards that we can.
“Congratulations to the girls. They are off to the Gold Coast next for the National Awards and we wish them well.”
They also represented the state last year in July, but ultimately fell short of the award to Victoria.
Junee is hoping there is more success the second time around. More on that as the time approaches.
