A cold morning start did not deter a group of women who set out from Young on Saturday 31st May as part of the worldwide Petrolettes all-female overnight riding weekend.
Riders in 82 cities across 23 countries all spent the same night away with each other, connecting, inspiring and empowering women in motorcycling. This was the first time the Petrolettes run has been held in this region, and it drew women from all over the Riverina and Central West, even a dedicated P-plater coming from as far as Bathurst!
After a meet and greet and much needed hot coffee at Young, with the sun shining and open road ahead of them, the group headed to Temora for lunch, and then onward to Junee where they enjoyed a social night at the Commercial Hotel, before a breakfast at Junee Chocolate and Liquorice Factory and then a leisurely Sunday ride back to Young, completing a circuit of 235km.
