On Wednesday, May 21 community members enjoyed a Crafty Crowd session at the Junee Library with a Luminary Beeswax Bowl making class from 10:30am. It is not the only Crafty Crowd session at the Library with another coming up soon.
Those who attended enjoyed handmaking their own beeswax bowl before enjoying morning tea. Each bowl was lovingly adorned with delicate dried flowers and softly lit from within by a tealight in which the Junee Library said was the perfect blend of creativity and calm.
“Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or want to try something new, Crafty Crowd is a welcoming space to relax, create, and connect,” said the Junee Library.
The next session will be on Wednesday, 18 June. Bookings are essential.
This isn’t the only program on offer, however, with enough going on to keep anyone busy.
“Recently, we were honoured to host Country Hope Wagga for a heartfelt presentation and afternoon tea at the Junee Library, joined by our wonderful Junee Social Yarners.
“Country Hope is a local charity that provides family-centered support to country kids battling cancer or life-threatening illnesses.
Their visit brought awareness and deep gratitude, as our amazing knitting ladies lovingly presented handcrafted blankets, beanies, and scarves for children in the hospital and those attending the annual Country Hope Camp.
“Each stitch carries warmth, care, and community spirit — a small comfort for children and families facing incredibly tough times.
“Thank you to everyone who came along, and most of all, to our knitting legends for their generosity and kindness.”
The Junee Library additionally took the time to celebrate 3 million registered children on Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a program supported by Junee.
