Ten new wheelchairs have been donated to the Junee Multipurpose Service by the Riverina Schoolboys Football Carnival Committee.
The need for them was raised at a meeting earlier this year and it was decided to donate the cost of the new wheelchairs, the contribution to benefit both staff and patients. The committee has donated funds towards other equipment, including lifts for patients, therefore making things easier for hospital staff.
Junee Multipurpose Service Facility Manager, Carly Silberberg said “Thank you so much for supporting the hospital and the residents. These reliable and comfortable wheelchairs enables the patients, residents and their families to have greater access to outside areas. Access to outside improves the mental health, comfort, dignity and quality of life for our residents and patients. Thank you your support of the hospital is truly appreciated.”
