Eurongilly Public School was buzzing with excitement recently as the Variety Bush to Bush rally rolled into town, bringing with it a spectacle of unique cars and colourful characters.
For the students, the visit felt like Christmas come early, as the Bashers demonstrated their generous spirit by handing out an abundance of gifts to delighted children.
The Variety Bush to Bush rally is part of Variety’s ongoing fundraising efforts, aimed at supporting children in need across regional and rural communities. This year, the Bashers donated an incredible $3,295 to Eurongilly Public School, enabling the purchase of a range of new mathematics resources to enrich the students’ learning experience. Having appropriate educational resources is vital to ensuring quality learning outcomes.
At Eurongilly, the new mathematics materials include games designed to engage students in a fun and interactive way. Incorporating games into mathematics education not only enhances engagement but also helps children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, making learning both effective and enjoyable.
The school community extends heartfelt thanks to the parents and local community members for their organisation and unwavering support. Their efforts culminated in an amazing breakfast that was much appreciated by the Variety Bashers and added a special touch to the day’s festivities.
