Junee Under 13s player George Baldry has been awarded the prestigious Football Wagga Under 13 Player of theYear, announced at Sunday’s Grand Final— a remarkable achievement, especially as Junee did not progress to finals this year.
George has had an outstanding season on the pitch, demonstrating both skill and dedication. His performance earned him a place in the Wagga City Wanderers SAP (Skills Acquisition Program) squad, which competes in gala weekends across New South Wales throughout the year.
A highlight of George’s season was his participation with SAP in the renowned Kanga Cup tournament in Canberra, where his team advanced to the semi-finals in their pool — a testament to his contribution and consistency at a high level of competition.
