Junee Junction Recreation and Aquatic Centre (JJRAC) is looking for motivated and reliable Recreation Assistants (Lifeguards) to join the team as a lot of different activities are coming up at the Centre.
JJRAC spokesperson said, “If you enjoy working with people, thrive in an active environment and take pride in keeping our community safe, we’d love to hear from you. Please drop your resume and cover letter into JJRAC.”
Applications close on Friday at 5:00pm.
The new lifeguards are needed as throughout February, JJRAC will be hosting a number of school swimming carnivals, which they said will be bringing lots of energy, excitement and young swimmers to the Centre.
The schedule for the participating schools and times is on their Facebook pages.

“During this period, swimming lessons will also continue at various times, and the centre will be busier than usual, particularly during school hours. We recommend checking lesson and carnival times if you are planning a visit and prefer quieter periods.
“We appreciate your patience during this busy time and thank you for supporting school sport and swimming in our region.
“If you have any questions about access, lessons or quieter swim times, please contact the team at JJRAC.”
On the non-swimming sport side of things, JJRAC are offering a once-in-a-generation basketball opportunity to participate in She-Hoops.
The Club said they are proud to host She Hoops, a national Basketball Australia initiative focused on creating more opportunities, visibility and pathways for women and girls in basketball — both on and off the court. This will take place on Thursday, February 19 and will be free.

“This special clinic will be led by Lauren Jackson, 5-time Olympian and Head of Women in Basketball at Basketball Australia, alongside Tess Madgen, one of Australia’s most respected and accomplished women’s basketballers.
“Having two elite role models of this calibre in Junee to deliver a free clinic is an incredible opportunity for our community and something we’re extremely proud to support.
“She Hoops clinics are inclusive, inspiring and accessible, delivering high quality on-court skill development while building confidence, connection and a genuine love of the game. While the program is designed to support women and girls, this session is open to all participants — girls and boys, beginners and experienced players alike.”
Registrations are essential, and spots are limited. Go to the JJRAC Facebook to sign up.
