Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club have informed members of a revised date for a General Meeting of Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club Limited to be held on: Wednesday, 4 March at 7:00 pm at the Club Auditorium.
Members will be asked to vote on a Special Resolution regarding the adoption of a new Club Constitution.
The Club said this is a revised meeting date following member feedback. All eligible members are encouraged to attend.
The revised new Constitution will be available from the Club office from 11 February, according to the Club.
The Ex-Services Club said, “This Revised Notice of General Meeting is issued in substitution for the original Notice previously circulated. The meeting date has been revised due to the volume of feedback received from members and the impact of the festive holiday period. All other details, including the time, venue and business of the meeting, remain unchanged.”
To be passed, the Special Resolution must receive votes in its favour from not less than three-quarters (75%) of those members who, being eligible to do so, vote in person on the Special Resolution at the meeting.
Under Rule 43.1 of the Constitution, only Life Members, financial Ex-Service Members, and financial Associate Members are eligible to vote on the Special Resolution.
In accordance with the Registered Clubs Act, members who are employees of the Club are not entitled to vote on the Special Resolution and proxy voting is prohibited.
The Special Resolution proposes the adoption of a new Constitution to replace the Club’s existing Constitution.
The proposed new Constitution was made available for public consultation and a meeting.
Following this process, the revised new Constitution has been updated to incorporate public feedback.
Copies of the revised new Constitution and the existing Constitution may be obtained from the Club office upon request from 11th February 2026.
