Junee is turning up the volume this weekend with three big days of live music, movies and great local venues coming together for the first-ever Junee Live Music Weekend.
From Friday night through to Sunday evening, the town will be buzzing with acoustic sets, full bands, country favourites and classic films at venues right across Junee.
Friday kicks off in style with Nathan Lamont lighting up the Junee Hotel from 6pm, while the Samson Duo play at the Junee Ex-Services Club and Junction Street hit the stage at the Red Cow Hotel. For movie lovers, the Athenium Theatre will screen Elvis (rated M) at 7pm – the perfect way to start the weekend.
Saturday keeps the momentum going. Families can enjoy Sing (rated PG) at the Athenium at 10:30am before heading out to soak up live music across town. Jarryn Phegan and James Bennett will perform at the Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory, Isaac Staines takes the stage at the Ex-Services Club, Owen Campbell Trio will play at the Commercial Hotel, and Crooked Crows will close out the night at the Red Cow Hotel.
On Sunday, the music rolls on with James Bennett and Alex Pietro at the Commercial Hotel, Jarryn Phegan at the Junee Hotel, Rhys and Dakota at the Red Cow Hotel, and a special screening of Walk the Line (rated PG) at the Athenium Theatre at 3pm.
This weekend is all about supporting local venues, showcasing incredible talent and giving locals and visitors alike a reason to stay, explore and enjoy everything Junee has to offer.
