Junee Diesels had an amazing afternoon at the Junee Ex-Services Club on Friday for their 2026 Season Launch and say they want to thank everybody who came down and had a bid or two.
Overall, they totalled $13,150.
$6,575 was the total funds raised for the club, with $821 now up for grabs at each home game if visitors find themselves lucky enough to number scores first.
Congratulating all buyers, the team says they wish all players the best of luck ahead of their 2026 season.
The Diesels also held a first try scorer jersey action held after the season launch.
David Holt, President of the Diesels, said the Junee Diesels season launch went well.
“We started the day off with a light training run and then went home and freshened up, [before going] down to the Junee Ex-Services Club [for] an afternoon of barefoot bowls,” he said.
“It was a good turnout by the players and supporters, and that rolled into a first try scorer jumper auction, which was well supported.
“The confidence is up for a good season with plenty of enthusiasm, that’s for sure.”
The Diesels will take on Gundagai in the first round on Sunday, April 19 at Anzac Park.
David said they are looking forward to the challenge.
“Gundagai is always strong and were Premiers last year,” he said.
“We’ll soon see where we are at and most of the mark we are for the season.
“We are confident.”
