Junee IGA took home yet another award, this time from the NSW/ACT Customer Service Award at Waterview, Centennial Park, on Friday, 3 April as part of the Awards of Excellence.
Previously, the shop has won several awards for its dairy section, which the Junee District Co-operative say they take great pride in. They were also nominated for four additional categories.
Manager Shane Willis said, “I’m very proud of the team. It’s not just an individual effort; it’s the entire store. We are very proud of it.
“The awards were held in Sydney, and it was a really good night for everyone.
“We were all very excited when we were announced as winners; we weren’t expecting it at all.”
The win now puts the shop in the running for the National Award on the Gold Coast in July.
“Everyone gives 110%, it is a contribution to the whole, entire store,” said Shane.
“We are all very proud of the achievement [and] it is good to see that the store is being constantly recognised for the efforts that we put in.”
It is the third consecutive year the Junee store has won at the IGA Awards of Excellence, taking home the Best Medium Dairy and Freezer Department awards in both 2024 and 2025.
Mr Willis had great praise for Nina Seton and Kim Murdoch for their work at the award-winning department, who then went on to represent New South Wales both years.
This is yet another huge win for the now 100-year-old shop that continues to deliver excellence and quality to the local community.
