All funds raised from the sausage sizzle will go towards the Junee CanAssist branch.
From 8.00am on May 8th, Junee Can Assist will be hosting a Mother’s Day Cake Stall and Barbecue to raise funds to further assist locals in need within the community.
Setting up bright and early at 7.00am, the Can Assist volunteers will be ready with a hot egg and bacon roll for $7, a sausage sizzle for $3, and various cakes, slices and biscuits to make your morning just a little sweeter in the lead-up to Mother’s Day.
A hand crocheted rug, a painting and an IGA voucher are just some of the raffle prizes on offer to win.
Junee Can Assist President, Fiona Rynehart, says they will also have a delivery service on offer.
“We have been taking pamphlets and notices around to the bigger businesses… and we’ll take orders for them and will deliver them back to their workplace,” she says.

“If anyone wants to get in touch, just give me a call, and we can organise getting food delivered to their workplace if they want on Friday.”
All funds raised will go towards the Junee Can Assist Branch, ensuring their services continue helping those in need.
“All our money goes to our local patients that we help in Junee,” says Fiona.
“It’s raised in Junee, and it stays in Junee.”

Donning their “smiley faces” against the cold, Fiona says they are looking forward to meeting everyone in the IGA carpark for something yummy to eat.
“I want to thank all our wonderful volunteers, and thank you to all the Junee people and surrounds that support our CanAssist branch.
