At almost every match, the Junee Jaguars have celebrated a milestone game.
Lifelong player and committee member, Prue Duncan played her 300th game for the club on May 31st and walked away from the tough match against Lake Albert with a 0-0 draw after keeping the pressure on the other team.
Angie Barclay from Temora played her 100th game for the Jaguars and President Karen Fish says they are incredibly grateful to have this superstar in their goals. A hard-fought win for the ladies team marked the milestone event after the Jaguars took the game at 6-3 against Charles Sturt University.
Karen Fish, president herself, played her 50th game for the club on June 21 after a 15-year break from the game! Her milestone matched with a win hard fought for at their wet and muddy home crowd. Karen had a huge crowd of local supporters cheering the team all the way to their win against South Wagga with a score of 5-0.
Rounding out their star-studded month was Junior President Abbey Duncan’s 400th game for the Jaguars on Sunday, 28 June. Abbey is a life member for the Jaguars and has served her community in various committee roles alongside playing coach to both seniors and juniors for more than a decade. Her milestone match saw her travelling for an away game in Griffth where the team scored 5-0.
“A shoutout to the Griffith ladies who came back to the Corro Club and put on a pizza lunch for us, which was very unexpected, but a lovely way to end the day,” says Karen.
The excitement continues as anticipation builds for their Old Boys & Girls Day at the club on July 25th.
Starting from 10.00am, keen soccer enthusiasts will see nearly all of the Jaguars in action (except for the Under 5s team who have a bye and the Men’s 4th Grade team who will play on the Friday night).
Face painting, a barbecue and canteen will accompany the stellar sports skills on display before the celebrations move to the Junee Bowling Club for pizza at the conclusion of the matches.

Under 10s: Lost 5-2 to South Wagga
Under 9s Blue: Lost 5-1 to Lake Albert
Under 9s Yellow: Drew 1-1 to Lake Albert
Under 8s: Won 2-0 to Tumut
Under 7s Blue: Lost to South Wagga Warriors
Under 7s Grey: Won to Tolland Wolves
Under 7s Yellow: Lost to South Wagga Knights
Under 6s Blue: Won to Lake Albert Tigers
Under 6s Yellow: Won to Tolland Cubs
Under 5s: Won to South Wagga Warriors
Player of the Match for each team went to Tempey Nicholson, Angus Baldry, TJ and Logan and Isla.
Special mentions go to Chris Fish who took the team to Tumut, and Chris’s sons, Lachlan and Oliver, who scored both goals for the game that gave the Under 8s team their first win.
Under 7s Grey’s significant win also owes their thanks to Tom Crowder who took the team for two weeks in a row.
