Growers, advisers and industry representatives from across southern NSW will come together at the FarmLink Field Walk on Friday, 4 September 2026, with a focus on practical research, innovation and ideas to help shape the future of farming.
Held at the Temora Agricultural Innovation Centre (TAIC), the free event will feature current FarmLink and independent research trials, along with presentations and speakers covering issues relevant to both cropping and livestock producers.
FarmLink CEO Shaughn Morgan said the Field Walk was an opportunity for growers to see research in the paddock and have direct conversations with researchers, agronomists and industry specialists.
“FarmLink’s focus is on research that is relevant to growers and can help improve profitability, sustainability and productivity,” Mr Morgan said.
“The Field Walk brings that research directly to the paddock, giving growers the opportunity to see what is happening, ask questions and discuss how new ideas might work in their own farming systems.”
The day begins with a free breakfast and coffee from 7.30am, followed by the official opening at 8.30am. The morning field walk will feature FarmLink and independent trials and a range of agricultural speakers.
The afternoon program includes herbicide trial field walk with FarmLink, Neil Durning and Greg Condon, and a mixed farming panel session.
A FarmLink Life Member Award will also be presented during the day, recognising Frank McRae who has made an outstanding contribution to FarmLink and agricultural research and extension.
The event will also feature independent exhibitor stalls and corporate member displays, providing opportunities for attendees to connect with industry.
While there will be a range of exhibitors, FarmLink emphasises that the Field Walk is not a machinery-focused event, with no machinery displays or demonstrations.
FarmLink’s dedicated Machinery Day is held separately on the first Friday in March.
Entry to the FarmLink Field Walk is free, with lunch available for purchase.
Registration is encouraged.
