Set to showcase the very best of regional NSW with live music, local food and wine, and community spirit in front of a golden backdrop, the Canola Gateway Festival returns for another year offering a celebration of country hospitality, culture and community.
From 4pm onwards on Saturday, 29 August, the Golden Gateway Concert is the festival’s premier evening event.
Combining live music, regional food and wine, local hospitality and an unforgettable concert experience in the Athenium Theatre (a beloved establishment within the community), the concert will kick off the week.
The afternoon begins in the Athenium Green Space, where guests can relax with a drink from the outdoor bar, enjoy food trucks, explore the Canola Trail installation, capture memories at the festival Instagram frame, and soak up the atmosphere with live acoustic entertainment as the sun sets over Junee.
As Golden Hour arrives, the celebration continues with more live music, regional flavours and a vibrant festival atmosphere before moving inside the Athenium Theatre for an incredible evening of live entertainment.
Whether you’re travelling the Canola Trail, planning a weekend getaway, or simply looking for a fantastic night out, the Golden Gateway Concert is more than a concert, it’s also the official opening celebration of the canola season in Junee.
On Sunday, from 11.30am to 2.00pm, Junee CanAssist will be holding their Yellow Luncheon.
Set amongst the vibrant atmosphere of Memorial Park Harvest Day, the Yellow Luncheon brings together locals and visitors to enjoy a memorable afternoon showcasing the best of the Riverina. Guests will be treated to a delicious seasonal menu, local produce, live entertainment and the warm country hospitality that Junee is renowned for.
The luncheon proudly supports Can Assist Junee, helping provide practical and financial assistance to local people and families affected by cancer. By attending, you are not only enjoying a fantastic festival experience but also contributing to an organisation that makes a real difference within our community.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by wearing a touch of yellow as we celebrate the golden canola season and support an important local cause.
Tickets are priced at $85 per person and includes a three-course meal, guest speakers and live music. All proceeds raised will go towards CanAssist who will use the funds to continue supporting Junee locals.
Following the luncheon, visitors are invited to explore the wider Memorial Park Harvest Day festivities, featuring market stalls, local producers, community displays, entertainment, family activities, and a showcase of everything that makes the Riverina such a special place to live and visit.
A limited number of Weekend Festival Packages will be available for purchase to experience the complete Canola Gateway Festival.
Tickets will provide entry to both the Concert on the Saturday evening and CanAssist’s Yellow Luncheon on Sunday.
