Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club celebrated the launch of Happy Soul Bistro last Thursday, October 16.
The Club welcomed the community to be among the first to try the new menu and experience one of Junee’s newest dining experiences.
General Manager of the Junee Ex-Services, Rebecca Jordan, gave us some insight into what the new restaurant will offer.
“The new caterers are a company that has multiple businesses in other venues around New South Wales. Their menu is very inviting and very exciting. They were the ones that interested us the most when we were going through applicants for the kitchen,”she said.
“It is very exciting, we are looking forward to having something new and fresh to get members and guests into the club to experience the new vibe, the dining and the venue.
“The menu is modern Australian. They have their basics, like schnitzels and steaks and that sort of cuisine. They also have vegan options, vegetarian options, and gluten-free options. They have covered all bases. They will also have daily specials, so Monday will be snitty, Tuesday will be pizza or pasta, Wednesday will be steak day, Thursday will be curry night, Saturday kids eat for free with every full-priced meal, and Sunday will be roast of the day.
“They also have different meals, like a saffron and coconut salmon and the honey miso pork on the menu. A couple of little points of difference.
“Harvesters has finished up at the Club with some staff transitioning to other roles and being trialled.
“All the staff were thanked for their efforts while Harvesters was there.
“We are just very excited to have new caterers and to look past the past and look towards the future.”
